The Future of Feedback–Part I: Product

This morning I read a blog post by world renowned social media maharishi – Scott Monty. In it he lays out why listening to consumers is so important. I wanted to take this notion and apply it to the automotive industry.

Feedback is something we reciprocate every day.  Some forms of feedback are obvious such as an online product review while others like graded homework assignments or a tips left for a server, are not.  While identifying feedback isn’t always easy, nor is distinguishing between positive and negative; the bigger challenge is developing a strategy that uses feedback to your advantage.

Authenticity in Nontraditional Social Media

Social Media is everywhere. Firms are popping up all over the place that for a small fee will offer you a comprehensive social media package, complete with custom iframes, twitter backgrounds and even managed content. Yes, it’s a regular smorgasbord of people happy to take your money. While most companies do need a Social Media presence, they shouldn’t ignore what I deem non-traditional (ignored) social media.
